“Thank you thank you thank you Ana for the treasure you have created.
This book should be read by all women to once again harmonize ourselves with our natural rhythms. We gathered on Juliet’s Balcony (on a sacred mountain in Colombia, South America!), a space by women and for women to connect with themselves, Mother Earth and the Moon. We shared the wisdom of this book and talked about our experiences with our lunar rhythms, emotions and creative forces. Women of all ages and backgrounds coming together (including my 4 month old daughter!!) to share knowledge and find out we are all so similar at our core. It was beautiful. It was powerful. It was simply amazing. The change in our world will happen through the women. Let’s continue to gather, share and learn. And of course, believe in ourselves!!!
I highly recommend this book! So grounded and beautiful. Backed up with scientific research and ancient wisdom. Just wonderful.”

Ana’s approach

Moving with the Moon® is a creative and empowering process of adapting, changing, and crafting a feminine yoga practice from day to day. Just as the moon waxes and wanes, this book will unfurl and deepen your connection to the internal rhythm within your body.

Book Review of ‘Moving with the Moon®’

by yoga teacher and author, Eve Grzybowski

“Have you noticed that women seem to be coming more and more into their ascendance? It may be as a result of the #metoo movement or the political climate that’s calling on women to run for office.

It would seem, then, that it’s a fitting time to return the feminine to yoga. Hot yoga and power yoga may have their place, but they don’t necessarily allow for the sensitive biological imperatives of a woman’s cycles and life stages….”

More praise for “Moving with the Moon: Nurturing Yoga, Movement and Meditation
for Every Phase of your Menstrual Cycle and Beyond” by Ana Davis

'A beautiful roadmap on how women can all live a life in tune with our natural rhythms, one that leads to fulfilment, creativity and a life of ease.'- Eve Grzybowski, author of 'Teach Yourself Yoga' and 'The Art of Adjustment'
'Ana’s suggestions will help women become more in tune with their bodies, a very necessary and important thing. This feminine approach to yoga holds much medicine for us all.'- Jane Hardwicke Collings, Midwife and Women’s Mysteries teacher
'In my own experience, establishing a simple yoga routine designed around changing needs throughout the cycle is a key to better menstrual health and wellbeing, and to developing access to a stable sense of embodied inner serenity. Restorative yoga practices alone can be a revelation for busy women, and especially as we get older. This clearly written book makes it possible to develop such a practice in the comfort of your own home.'- Lara Owen, author of 'Her Blood Is Gold: Awakening to the Wisdom of Menstruation'
'Ana writes with passion and clarity while bringing through quotes, stories and wisdom from many inspired female writers and cultural traditions.'- Rachel Zinman, author of 'Yoga for Diabetes, How to Manage your Health with Yoga and Ayurveda'
'Ana’s book 'Moving with the Moon' has become my ‘reference guide’ for teaching a more female-appropriate form of yoga. She seamlessly interweaves personal experience and a woman’s wisdom with thorough research to create a comprehensive guide to adjusting your yoga practice (and movement in general) to align with the cyclical nature of the female body and way of being. This book leads the way in introducing a fresh outlook of respect and honour of the feminine energy and nature. A must-read for all yoga teachers and practitioners.'- Claire Holloway, yoga teacher and mum, Tasmania, Australia

‘If women can find a way to practise yoga that goes with rather than against their natural ebb and flow of energy, they can then carry this heightened awareness into all areas of their life—into their work, parenting, and all their relationships.’ — Ana Davis
